The Fiery Cross

According to church doctrine the first Christian Roman Emperor, Constantine, beheld a vision of a fiery cross in the sky on the eve of a battle. With the fiery cross vision in the sky were the words: "With this sign ye shall conquer." Constantine adopted the fiery cross as his symbol on his shield and won the battle. That's how it all got started and since then the fiery cross has been a religious symbol not only for the Catholic Church, but numerous Protestant churches as well. As a religious symbol these churches use the fiery cross in various ways.

Have you ever stopped to think of just how many times God and fire are connected in the Bible? The Bible often uses fire as a symbol of God. In Deuteronomy 4:24 and in Hebrews 12:29, God is referred to as a consuming fire. In Malachi 3:2, the promised Messiah is referred to as a refiner's fire. In Mathew 3:11, John the Baptist speaks of Christ saying, "He shall baptize you with the Holy Ghost and with fire." In Exodus chapter three, God spoke to Moses out of a burning bush. In chapter 14 of Exodus, God came down as a pillar of fire. In Genesis chapter 19:24-25, Leviticus 10, Second Chronicles 7, and First Kings 18, Second Kings 2, God is again and again symbolized with fire, and fire gives light. Now the cross has been long established as the symbol of Christ and Christ is the Light of the world. The Gospel of John 1:4-5 states: "In Him (Christ) was life and the life was the light of men. And the light shineth in the darkness and the darkness grasped it not." Thus, this passage has been symbolized by illuminating a cross with fire at night.

The anti Christians are deliberately trying to change every symbol of Christianity into a symbol of racist hate. The Christian religion is being twisted and perverted by the powers of anti-Christ right before our very eyes.

Col. Simmons revived the KKK in 1915. He was a former Methodist circuit minister  the fiery cross is a Methodist religious symbol.

Today we only light the cross in official ceremonies. We light it to symbolize the light of Jesus Christ coming into the world. We do not burn the cross but light it. The cross will extinguish before it burns. A cross lighting is a very solemn ceremony that is done with respect.  The lighting of the cross has never been sacrilegious but rather the opposite as we are a Christian Brotherhood that loves and respects our Lord and Saviour. We put more focus on our Saviour than the tree he was tortured upon.

The modern media, with its beloved yellow journalism, lies, falsehoods, half truths, and distortions was always quick to run wild with such incidents for the sake of its self serving sensationalism.

Behold the Fiery Cross

Still Brilliant

All the troubled history failed to quench its hallowed fame.

It shall burn bright as morning for all decades.

To be held by hearts and hands of Klansmen.

It shall light from sea to sea.

Let me say that the cross is an inspiration.

A sign of the Christian religion, a symbol of faith, hope and love.

We do not burn, but light the cross to signify that Christ is the light of the world.

And that His light destroys darkness.

Fire purifies Gold, Silver and precious stones; it destroys wood, stubble and hay.

But by the cross we need to burn our virtues from within.

In the Fiery Cross we glory, beneath it sacred glow our oath was made.

It shall ever live in song and story. I swear its light shall never fade.

God gave us men, tall sun crowned men who will not lie and will not flinch at duty.

God gave us men. Amen
